Revealing a moment of light and romance in the spell of darkness is no task for impassioned singer-songwriter and producer Trevor Myall. Flirting with the boundaries of folk, pop, and soul flows naturally to this Canadian-American artist. His music bares scars and advocates for love through bitter-sweet authenticity.
Splitting his childhood between the lush, urban lifestyle of Vancouver and the rustic rocky shore of Newfoundland, Myall crafted a unique musical lens. He blends contemporary production styles with George Street pub-flavoured folk and terrestrial resonance. At the age of 11, he began penning his own works on his Grandfather’s piano via the Suzuki Method. Songwriting would become a new language for Myall to express himself as an introverted, socially awkward, and closeted youth. In 2014, he departed Canada to complete an education at the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts.
Myall currently resides in Los Angeles, California working on exciting new projects. His independently released debut single ‘Pyro Heart’ exceeded one million streams on Spotify within three months of release. In December 2018, ASCAP awarded Myall with the Jay Gorney Award, which celebrates songwriting for social change. Trevor feels most successful when his work creates an impact and synchronizes with his listeners.
In February 2019, Trevor Myall’s debut EP record ‘One Way Ticket’ will be available on streaming platforms everywhere.
